Some Christmas Gift Ideas

Every year, I always ponder what to get for Christmas for especially my closest friends. I want it to be unique, something they would love and enjoy. This year with the downturn of the global economy, many friends have already decided on cutting back the Christmas giving.  Fortunately for the retailers, I believe that it is not Christmas till you've done a little Christmas gift shopping.

Here are some gift ideas for your special friends. Be inspired and encouraged.

A bottle of Le Labo Perfume. Le Labo is a very small perfumery with a cult following. They believe in making perfume not for the masses, instead they make very small quantity by order (read the label). They have 10 different fragrances. The name of the scent is determined by what it's principle essence is followed by the total number of ingredients. (15ml for USD52 and 50ml for USD130, online).

Simon Carter Men's Wallet from Heal's. For the comic reading kid in every other man. This wallet is made from very supple Italian Nappa leather and lined with comic strip printed silk. (GBP 40, online)

Ella Silk Satin Corset with silk chiffon trimmings worn with matching knickers by Myla. This would make a fabulous gift for your special someone. Myla has many sexy lingerie, worth looking at if you love Agent Provocateur (like I do). Sure to bring out the sex goddess in even the most conservative female.

Note to Men: Sometimes you need to buy her an (expensive) treat her, in order to treat yourself. (Corset GBP 289 and Knickers GBP 79, online)

Ski Christmas Crackers by Cath Kidston. For the friend who loves to entertain, and loves a little pop and surprise. (GBP 12.90, online)

French Authentic Luncheon Hamper by Rockett St. George. This hamper consists of:

Perard Fish Soup - the most authentic available as recommended by Delia Smith, herself.
Perard Rouille - the best available
Perard Croutons
French Country Pate
Les Folies Foies Gras Onion Confit with Honey & Jurancon Wine
Duck Magret Cassoulet
Favols Apricot and Ginger Preserve

This would delight the most enthusiastic foodie.  (GBP 39.95, online)
