This weekend was the most lazy and fun. Sean and I decided to bake up a storm on Saturday. Quiche Lorraine and Valrhona chocolate cupcakes with a royal icing were on the menu for dinner. Here are some pictures of Saturday's baking.

Preparing the crust to be blind baked.

The quiche fresh out of the oven, resting.

A slice of our hard work. I'd added in a pinch of truffle salt to perfume the custard.

The cupcakes, freshly glazed.

The finish product ready to be eaten. I love how wet and shiny the icing looks.

A side profile of one of the cupcakes.
