Hello from the Shangri-la Hotel Kerry Centre. My first day in Beijing has been filled with endless hours of (regurgitated content) sessions that have started to remind me of the 90s drama series repeats on TCS 8.
However, being in a culturally rich and smoggy city like beijing, what lies outside these hotel walls is terribly exciting. I feel like a child who wants to go out to play badly but has exams.
I did however have a really good peking duck roasted with the wood from the date tree. The sweet earthy taste of the duck lined with the greasy fat under its crisp skin is divine. The home made flour pancake is fabulous. Will take pictures of it tonight as we are going to another Beijing establishment famous for its roast duck.
