500 Days of Summer - Bank Heist Dance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. There is this clip that is not in the movie but accompanies it. I think it's adorable. The song is sung by Zooey Deschanel who has her own band, She & Him. The song is entitled, "Why do you let me stay here?" which is very appropriate for this clip as well as the movie. Enjoy.

Paris, Je Taime - Bastille.

My favourite line from this short film must be "By acting like a man in love, he became a man in love again." Does anyone really understand love and its peculiarities? No one can be sure about the mechanics, the idiosyncrasies, the rationality that comes with being in love. Like so many a times I have mentioned to countless friends, there is a different between loving someone and being in love with someone. Right now do I know which I like better? I wished I did know.

Paris Je' Taime, Faubourg.

The first time I heard the words she said in the beginning, I thought it was such a poetic way of saying goodbye. This short clip reaches inside of me. It reminds me of how beautiful love is. The way it takes us by surprise, it sweeps us off our feet, makes us lose rationality, how fragile it can be, how turbulent, obsessive, addictive, unique, passionate and heart wrenching our moments are. And if all these are not ever any of the words that can be used to describe that love affair, it is nothing. Nothing but a painfully, aching, irrational and vile waste of time that you will still subject yourself to over and over again even if at the beginning you know that there is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. Ain't love grand?

This is taken off the movie," I've Been Waiting For So Long." I love Nathalie Baye, there is something so charming yet mystic about her. Here, she sings the classic French song, Pour Une Amorette by Leny Escudero. The lyrics are poetic and terribly apt for this movie.
