Henry Built.

From the first time I set my eyes on a Henry Built ad in Dwell magazine, I was mesmerized. The attention to detail, how well thought the kitchen was, the simplicity of the entire design caught me by surprise. I remember staring at the page studying their choice of materials, proportion of their pieces and colours. Without a doubt, I had set my eyes not on a luxury kitchen like a Poliform Varenna but on something that I knew I could actually have and use. That's why I am also happy to share with you this newfound interest.

Henry Watson Range.

I hear that the Henry Watson garlic cellar is excellent. Apparently the right way to keep your cloves is in a cool and dark space, so the folks from Henry Watson came up with this garlic cellar. I like the bread crock and the tea canister as well. They exude an old world charm that would have your friends asking about them.

Binova Techno-Logical Kitchens.

Binova makes kitchens that are as good as they look. They believe in precise, clean and in order. Their kitchens are have such clean modern lines, making them stark. They focus on technology and quality. In one of them, they have a very sleek ipod player, in another there was this motorised storage. How smart is that?

Marble Hexagon Mosaic Tiles.

These are lovely. Imagine your kitchen will all white carrara marble hexagon tiles. It would be so luxurious and slightly vintage. Must remember that this is not advisable for a wet kitchen though. As marble is notorious for staining, I would recommend this for a dry, show kitchen that would not require washing of the floor, just light mopping. Remember that these would also have grout in between them, so moulding might occur. However, if you don't mind the flooring not being all white, I would recommend a grey grouting. It would make the tiles stand out and you wouldn't have to worry so much about the white grout turning grey. Despite all that, I still think that they look absolutely beautiful (if up kept well.) Remember this is not for those who aren't into housekeeping.

Beater Blade.

Recently, I came across a really smart invention by Beater Blade. It's a mixer attachment for a Kitchenaid or Kenwood mixer. It actually scrapes the side of the bowl as it mixes. I would usually manually spatula the sides of the bowl to mix the mixture well in between additions. This would really cut down the mixing time. Maybe those with a Kitchenaid like me would know that around the dimple, it never gets mixed well, this mixer attachment promises to even get those "hard to reach" areas. So for those who are avid bakers like me, I would highly recommend this.

Magna Design.

I love the Magna Design kitchen appliances. Their gas hobs are so clean in aesthetic and according to many, great to use as well. They are quicker to heat up than a ceramic hob. As it uses a gas, it is more energy efficient. Selected Magna hobs have even a high powered wok burner. Their line of ovens and cooker hoods are also beautiful. Clean and sleek. The one below is flushed into the ceiling making it look really neat.

Twelve Kitchen by Varenna.

The new range of Twelve kitchens by Varenna are designed by Carlo Colombo who had the idea of making the kitchen an evolved yet informal living concept. Did you notice that with the kitchens, informal dining areas are built into them? Expect handle-less design, touch opening, and high quality gloss finishings paired with wood or steel.

I've always loved the clean finishing of Varenna kitchens, although I must admit that they make great dry kitchens or show kitchens rather than a functional kitchen.

Nespresso Citiz.

Nespresso Citiz was just launched last month and personally, this is their sexist coffee machine yet. It is so slick, and comes in three options, the single head coffee maker, the coffee maker + aeroccino (milk frother) and  the dual head  coffee maker (first dual head coffee maker by them). I'm enamoured of the Citiz + milk. It makes a lot more sense compared to buying the aeroccino separately.
