Printer Typeset Tray.

I know many of you might look at this and think this is just any old tray with a lot of compartments and wonder what so great about it. This is a vintage printer typeset tray. Why am I blogging about it? I want to throw an idea at you.

If you are thinking of redoing your wardrobe area and maybe add in a chest of drawers, Why not put this on top? If you want to, add a nice glass door with a pretty frame on the top hinged. Ladies, put your pretty necklaces, brooches, rings, etc in it or for the guys, your cuff links, tie pins, or collar pins on display. It can really look beautiful and unique. Have a think about it. Change the way you look at old unwanted items.

Not too long ago, there was the revival of knitting. Recently, there has been hype about needlepoint tapestry. I used to indulge a lot of time doing those saccharine sweet Precious Moments designs when I was younger, then it came to a point when I realised that as much as I loved doing needlepoint, I didn't know what to do with the designs because they were far too girlie and sweet for me.

Recently, in June, I did a review of Emily Peacock Tapestry's designs. They are more vintage American. Felicity Hall's on the other hand, is more British. I like the green cuban car set on a background of what conspicuously looks like "Paul Smith" stripes. This is great as a nice touch to a guest room to give it a homely feel and a great way to consume time while unwinding.

Cross-stitching used to be one of my favourite past times. However, over the last few years, I haven't found a pattern that interests me at all. So many of those in the shops are a tat juvenile and too cute. Last week, I came across some images of cross-stitch patterns by Emily Peacock done into cushions. They have an old rock and roll vibe about them. This might just be the thing to make me pick up that needle and thread to stitch again. Imagine how fantastic that "kiss" cushion will look on a bed.
